Move to ban registering vehicle in the name of expat who does not have a driver’s license. Interior Ministry Assistant Undersecretary for Traffic Affairs Maj General Abdallah Al-Muhanna will send a memo to Deputy Premier, Interior Minister Shiekh Mohammad Al- Khalid Al-Sabah to issue a law that bans registration of any vehicle in the name of any expat who does not have a driver’s license. According to local daily report, he also clarified that the administrative decision on deportation will be applied to every expatriate who drives without a license. No fines will be good enough in this type of offenses, he said adding that he instructed the department to send the expat who drives without a license to the deportation centre immediately, local daily Kuwait Times reported citing Al Jarida Arabic newspaper.
