Movie #Basavanna which recently got all the attention because of the wonderful poster design is again under the limelight! There is an uproar against its title. Basavanna is being Directed by Shrinivas Raju of Dandupalya fame. Real Star Upendra & Ragini Dwivedi are playing the lead roles. It is well known that Jagajyothi Basavanna was a reformer of 12th century who tried to reform the people by eradicating the caste system. He was like an epitome for goodness, but the posters of the Movie display gun & swords despite carrying his name, this has made the followers of Jagajyothi Basaveshwara to come up with protests. Many prominent political leaders also have raised their voice against the Movie. Public protest are also being noticed. Looking at this development, team of the Movie may consider an option of changing the title to curb the problem. Regular shooting for the Movie has already begun. Director had also stuck with the similar problem in his previous Movie Dandupalya!
