Movie Fed Up What did you think about it. While I think I would advise every parent, School Administrator and maybe even school aged child or teen to view the movie (I took the kids), I was personally expecting a little more. I think without a doubt the food industry plays a role in the obesity epidemic, but that is just ONE aspect of the bigger picture. When it comes to our children, I think parental responsibility, modeling, attitudes and food culture obviously play a big role. The role of increased sedentary activities, minimal time playing and being active and more time on the computer/phone/etc is huge as well. I also think the psychological aspects behind overeating are not emphasized enough either. Obesity is a very complex multifaceted problem and focusing solely on blaming the food industry is a naive oversimplification.
