JESSICA BROWN, of “Downton Abbey,” has joined James McAvoy and Daniel Radcliffe in the cast of Fox’s ‘Frankenstein’ with Paul McGuigan (Lucky Number Slevin) set to direct. TOM HANKS (Captain Phillips) will re-team with ‘Cloud Atlas’ director Tom Tykwer on the film version of Dave Eggers 2012 novel “Hologram for the King.” TOMMY LEE JONES (The Family) will write, direct and star in a remake of the 1972 John Wayne film ‘The Cowboys’. Jones will play the role of a rancher who is forced to train a group of young boys as cowboys to help herd his cattle to market. MARK WAHLBERG (2 Guns) is attached to star in Paramount’s remake of the 1974 film ‘The Gambler’. Rupert Wyatt (Rise of the Planet of the Apes) is in talks to direct the film about a college professor who runs afoul of gangsters. DWAYNE JOHNSON, who is currently filming ‘Fast and Furious 7’, is in talks to star in the film version of the 1980s action-adventure TV series “The Fall Guy,” about a Hollywood stunt man who also works as a bounty hunter. BILL MURRAY (The Monuments Men) will star for director Barry Levinson in the comedy ‘Rock the Kasbah’. In the film Murray will play a burned out music producer on a USO tour in Afghanistan who discovers a young girl with an extraordinary singing voice. TYLER PERRY is the latest addition to the ensemble cast of director David Fincher’s ‘Gone Girl’ starring Ben Affleck. Perry will play Affleck’s attorney in the film.
