Movie Recommendation of the Day: I recommend comedy-themed Role - TopicsExpress

Movie Recommendation of the Day: I recommend comedy-themed Role Model (2008). So Stifler, Ben Affleck, Fogel, and a young angry black kid walk into a bar... But seriously, Sean William Scoot, Paul Rudd, Cgris MintzPlasse, and Bobbe Thompson co-starring Elizabeth Banks, Jane Lynch, Ken Jeong, Joe Lo Truglio and a Minotuar! Two best friends with issues worthy of being The Odd Couple, lose their job and end up needing to put in hours as Big Brothers to avoid jailtime. Uptight Danny (Rudd) gets stuck with Fogel, who is a nerdy LARPER (think DnD in real life). Carefree Wheeler (Scott) ends up with Ronnie (Thompson) who has some obvious parental issues. From his opening line I knew I was going to love Thompson and he did not disappoint. So the guys end up watching these two kids together, doing the friend thing, and end up getting into a few pretty funny situations. The dialogue of this movie is entirely too re-memorable with cracks, quips, and wtf did he just say moments. Its worth watching and then sticking around for the extras. Seriously, I cried laughing. The movie climaxes when these two guys figure out theres more to the kids than just this Big Brother program and they find themselves needing to do a little more, than just watch the kids. But both Danny and Wheeler end up making big mistakes that could land them both in jail. I give the movie a 4 of 5 to IMDBs 7.7 of 10. Bonus Quote: Gayle Sweeny: You know what I used to have for breakfast? Cocaine. Know what I had for lunch? Cocaine. Wheeler: What did you have for dinner? Danny: Was it cocaine?
