Movie Review: THE COUNSELOR: Brad Pitt, Javier Bardem, Cameron Diaz, Penelope Cruz and more. This film is disturbing for its images. I would compare it to a film noir horrroe film with a spotty story and dialgue similar to a college philosophy class spoken by drug lords. I do NOT recommend it but the performances by Javier Bardem and Cameron Diaz are worth noting. Brad Pitts character resembles a moralistic vending machine dispensing advice through tidbits of fortune cookie style lines. It is not a likable fim, it is disturbing and you may be affected if not dazed by its sickening violense but drug cartels (which this film jumps in the pool with) are not p.r. Happyland. The popcorn and service at Tinseltown was excellent.
