Movin On Up! The move up to the pediatric wing has made Majors spirits soar! This floor has so many fun things to look at AND a playroom. Hes been on several walks and is getting stronger, and he is talking!!! His voice had never sounded so sweet! :) Eliza came to visit for the first time. They were both so excited to see each other. It made my heart happy. And made me even more ready to be home together again! When major saw his great-grandma and aunt and uncle coming down the hall to visit today, he said I wanna go home! We couldnt agree more. He has repeated that over and over to everyone he sees. And, to sweeten the pot, hes suggesting that he goes home and Eliza stays here! ;) So, thats the joys of the last couple of days. On the medical side of things, his strep bug is gone, his lungs are clearing well, and hes weening very well on oxygen. However, his pneumonia culture is still positive (so continuing antibiotic), hes not sleeping nearly enough (gonna try over-the-counter aids), and hes struggling to ween the high-powered pain and sedation meds he was on. So those are the specific areas for which he could use prayers. We continue to be amazed by his recovery. We are so ready to be home, but are confident that well be there soon.
