Moving Tip #27 – The ‘Survival’ Box It happens...to virtually everyone, and, with nearly every move. The eating utensils are in one box, the coffee machine, coffee and sugar are scattered amongst several other boxes, and the alarm clock is in one of the handful of boxes you neglected to mark, altogether. Solution? Pack a box, or two, of items that you will need, from the day you first move in. Label them “SURVIVAL”, and make sure they are loaded last on the truck. The contents of your survival box should include such things as: *Children’s toys *Paper plates, napkins and cutlery *Remotes for electronic devices *Phones *Snacks *Pet food *Soap and other toiletries *Light bulbs *Bath towels and washcloths *Alarm clock *Batteries Box up whatever you will need to make the first few days in your new abode more comfortable, and remember to keep them close by.
