Moving film, Finding Joe. Its a bit about Joseph Campbell, more about his naming the pattern of the heros journey. Remember I was so fortunate to have Campbell teach me in college. HUGE impact. There is but one Spirit in the universe. There is but one great story. And there are billions and billions and billions of scripts. What makes the four Gospels in sequence true? What makes the four Noble Truths in sequence true? What makes Natures four seasons in sequence true? It is not the particular subject. We can argue particular subjects. Rather - it is the universal sequence. The universality of the sequence is verifiable over and over and everywhere. This is why information about the life of Jesus is interesting. But when I discovered the one great story that is going on everywhere - all the time - now I have a useful map to everything. Then when I discovered that only these four gospel texts in a particular sequence are the embodied story of the one great story - wow! That for me was the key. Everything else fell away as detail. It is knowing the one great sequence of growth and transformation that became the key to knowing about real authentic diverse life. Now I KNOW that these four gospel texts in a particular sequence are true because they happen in me in this sequence over and over. In this particular sequence they are the great story of everywhere and everyone - a story that is indestructible. Treat yourself - watch, Finding Joe.
