Moving to NYC young is exciting. I made a lot of friends along the way who did various things with their time. Most of my friends had burning passions they were following, or a big bundle of energy they were figuring out what to do with to make something of themselves. A bunch of years later I look back and am proud of a handful of friends who are now living their wildest dreams and beyond (including myself) We never stopped following what we loved most, even when we had no idea where it was taking us. We took all the risks, did whatever we needed to do to get by and pay rent and eat, and didnt complain much because we knew we had that spark and it was worth protecting and following with our energy. My gaggle of pals have become respected actors, business owners, musicians, artists, and influencers. Having some perspective on where I have come from since my time not just growing up, but spent in the vibrant city of NYC, where we cultivated and chased our dream gives me an overwhelming pause of thankfulness. What I love most about this group of wild ones and myself is we all have several qualities in common. We did what we did and do what we do because we love it. A desire for financial gain and recognition enter the picture only as a tool to further our passion and spread what we love into the world and reach and help others. We all reached for success as a tool to help others. More eyeballs on us means more potential impact on the world. We make decisions based on our passion, and follow our heart, no matter where it takes us. We do something every day to follow our passion, most often its what we do with all of our waking hours and we dream about it while we sleep. We would continue to do what we do for the rest of our lives whether or not the rewards were anything other than getting to do what we do with our time. All of our passions are expressed differently, but the passion is the same. Its fire. Its earth. Its air. Its inside and all around and connects us to the world. Im grateful for my life. Im thankful for my talents. Im happy for my drive and know the energy behind my passion will continue to carry me through my whole life. Everyone is born with a passion. Sometimes it takes some time to find. Dont worry if you havent found yours yet. You will be absolutely sure when you do. Dont be afraid of it or where it will take you if you follow it. Follow it. Its the magic that is your life. Miss it and you can still have a pleasant life. Follow it and you will become the magic that is life. Follow your passion and you will always be fully alive. xo Tara
