Moving to Shepherdsville next week, out of practical necessity. The place has the potential to be a nice town, being riverfront and all. Too much fast food. Spent an hour trying to find a safe route to bicycle to work. That may not happen. Mostly cracked sidewalks and gravel lots ala Detroit. Still amazes me how car dependent this whole area is. You talk to a lifer whos never lived out of state and they seem baffled that people who spend less than $300 a month on gasoline actually do exist. The silver lining is I can see a lot of small errands can be done on foot and on bike. I really do like the river and the trains.
