Moxie Media & Promotions Official announcement for Thanksgiving Thunder. SW Motorsports Promotions and Cory Penfold of Moxie Media & Promotions have agreed to terms and Cory Penfold will be calling the action from the booth at Santa Maria Speedway. Thanksgiving Thunder is scheduled for November 28th and 29th and will be the biggest show in the western region at the time. Six premier divisions are on the card and this event is shaping up to be a great annual event. The divisions scheduled are Mini Stock, American Stock, Hobby Stock, Sport Mod, Modified and Late Models. Jeremy Smith of SW Motorsports Promotions says With Thanksgiving Thunder scheduled so late in season we are hoping to draw many of the top teams out of the Pacific Northwest. They were well represented at last years Bud Nationals and were looking to get those teams here for this event. I believe we can do it with the money were putting up for grabs and with the bonus money were putting up for the crate engine cars were hoping to draw them too. The format will be 40 lap features, and will be the same as the Bud Nationals. Teams will qualify for heat races and heat race finishes will determine feature line up. Right now we have got some of the California guys coming and many teams from the crate motor series, what we are doing for them is top 2 qualifying cars get $150 bonus and the top 3 cars in the feature will receive a $200 bonus as well. Payouts are worth the trip to race. Mini Stock pays $800 to win alone, Late Models will see the winner take home $2500 each night. Promoter Jeremy Smith says We are excited to make this an annual event and most certainly excited to work with Cory Penfold and Moxie Media & Promotions. Cory is a top tier announcer who knows how to get the crowd involved, excited and pumped up. We are looking forward to seeing many nationally recognized drivers in attendance and cant be happier with the way this deal is coming together.
