Mozambique Regional Manager- Pemba Primary responsibilities: 1. Overseeing the daily operations of the company in Mozambique. This involves running the head office in Pemba and overseeing remote sites including Palma and Nacala: • Managing the team of accountants to ensure invoices are raised on time, cash flow remains positive and the company is fully compliant with all tax obligations • Overseeing the workshop, its systems and efficiency • Ensuring operations run as efficiently and smoothly as possible • Managing the HR & Administrative functions 2. Introducing clear systems and processes to all aspects of the business to ensure the company is poised for further growth 3. Serving as the primary point of contact in Mozambique for all clients 4. Developing the business – finding and securing commercial opportunities and growth projects 5. Completing tender submissions and due diligence paperwork needed to get us registered with new clients 6. Communicating clearly and effectively with Dar es Salaam based management, including preparation of thorough weekly reports on all activities Secondary Responsibilities: 1. Development of the Company’s strategy and focus areas in Mozambique 2. Recruiting and developing the Mozambique team, as well as mentoring the existing team 3. Taking best practice from other company locations and implementing in Mozambique Skill/Experience Requirements: 1. 8 Years work experience; ideally with 3 in the oil & gas, construction or mining sectors 2. Self-motivated and multi-tasker 3. Fluency in Portuguese and English 4. Experience managing and growing enterprises, and managing a diverse team 5. Excellent business development and commercial skills 6. Strong financial and ERP background Authority: 1. General Manager 2. Finance Managers/Accountants 3. Administrator 4. Workshop Manager 5. HSE/Remote Site Supervisor 6. North Ops Supervisor 7. Crane and Forklift operators; Truck drivers Interfaces: 1. Managing Director 2. Executive Directors 3. Investors 4. Client Safety: 1. Ensuring the entire Mozambique operation runs as safely as possible 2. Assisting with incident investigations and reporting 3. Leading by example a safe and compliant management style 4.
