Mozambique club HCB Songo has fired Zambian coach Wedson Nyirenda and his assistant Dabid Chilufya. The three-time Zambian Coach of the Year announced his dismissal via social media that the expedition he started in January 2013 has been brought to an abrupt end. “Tonight, I would like to inform all of you my friends and relatives that the contract between my club HCB Songo and us, Dabid Chilufya my assistant coach and myself has been terminated following a series of discussions which we have been having,” he said. “Though we have an issue at hand which we have to tackle, we are fine with the developments so far,” Nyirenda said he was satisfied with his contribution to the club for the duration of his stay. “We have done the best for the club under circumstances we found the club in and what has been obtaining during the course,” he said. “I can’t boast or judge myself but the works we have done at the club lub are there for every eye to see,” Nyirenda said.
