Mr. Duckie is home safe and sound. Resting in a small cage just until I get the giant one power washed tomorrow. No vocalization yet, except one little murmur when I was scratching his head before Nighty-Nite. When we first got home he climbed on my shoulder...something I really did not want him to do...but from there, he ate a lot of scrambled eggs! Did not want to come down and then go in cage...in fact...he spread his wings out, so that he wouldnt fit through the cage door!!! He finally let me put him in, but didnt like it. He must be pretty scared..all this new stuff going on! :( However...I had put a dish with different Zupreem and dried fruit in the cage, and as soon as he spotted it, went down to investigate...threw some (not much) on the floor, and then found the Nut Flavor and nut shaped Zupreem. He ate THREE pieces!!! His little crop is bulging! I also have a little cup of mixed corn, peas, grated carrot and mini-pasta...but he wasnt interested. Never met a bird that didnt like CORN!!! Maybe hes just too full? :) Friend coming tomorrow to help with cage. Sure hope hell like the big one. Hope he doesnt feel lost in it! It is awfully huge for such a tiny bird...but Amanda thinks he will like it. Hope the little guy feels good enough to greet me in the morning. And just now Im thinking....maybe better be careful for what I wish for????? I think perhaps my uneasy, quiet house will no longer be! :)
