Mr. Edmon Maroukyan, Member of the National Assambly of Armenia, said that of course NATO has gone through a lot of critisizm but has managed to stand up againts them. He explained that there are several challanges for the development of NATO-Armenia partnership. Firts one, according to him, are the political changes in the South Caucasus: Georgia signing the Assosiation agreement with the EU, Armenia joining the Customs Union, and Azerbaijan stating to have sprcific diplomatic relaions with both Russia and EU. Challange number two would be the situation in Ukraine, which wil potentially make the NATO- Russia relations more intense, and it might have its impact on NATO-Armenia relations. Also he said that accordig to him, for our securty we should rely only on ourselves and develop a competent system which will ensure our security.
