Mr. James L. Harris, 73, passed away on Friday morning, January 31, at his home in Desoto. A memorial service is planned for Friday, February 7, from the graveside at Desoto Cemetery. Born January 27, 1941 in Mississippi, he was a son of the late Archie Harris. A veteran of the United States military, Mr.Harris was a farmer, working with Earl Bass Farms and Minor Brothers Farms. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Ann Harris, and by his daughter, Angela Ann Harris. Survivors include his son, James Mitchell Harris of Desoto and special friends, Johnny Mae Merritt of Leslie, James Hayes of Cobb, and Charlie & Janet Jackson of Cobb. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Desoto United Methodist Church, Farm Seed Road, DeSoto, GA 31743.
