Mr. James William ‘Bill’ Miller, age 85, of Vernon, Florida passed away June 7, 2013 at Southeast Alabama Medical Center in Dothan, Alabama. He was born March 22, 1928 in Vernon, Florida. Mr. Miller was preceded in death by his father, William Samuel Miller; his mother, Mary Frances Moore Miller; his step-mother, Velma Ottice Mayo Miller; three brothers, Paul Miller, Henry Miller, Clifton Miller; two sisters, Velma Mae Burton, Eva White; one grandson, Kevin Clifton Miller. Mr. Miller is survived by his wife, Nella Vivian Brock Miller of Vernon, FL; two sons, William Clifton Miller of Vernon, FL and Oscar H. Miller and wife Kimberly Kay of Vernon, FL; one daughter, Mary Frances Hull and husband Rodney of Houston, TX; three brothers, Charles Miller of Dothan, AL, Jimmy Miller of Panama City, FL, Rufus Miller of Panama City, FL; four sisters, Juanita Metcalf of Dothan, AL, Bessie Goodwin of Panama City, FL, Dorothy Statts of Panama City, FL, Virginia Collins of Vernon, FL; five grandchildren, Jason William Miller, Melissa Eileen Peacock, Kalan James Miller, Michael D. Warren, Tina Michelle Jones; seven great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at Calvary Hill Pentecostal Church with Rev. Tim Bush officiating. Interment will follow in the Ebenezer Church Cemetery with Peel Funeral Home directing. Family will receive friends one hour prior to service from 2-3 PM at Calvary Hill Pentecostal Church.
