Mr. Kenyatta is no longer facing charges of crimes against humanity. Now I can consider him for election during the next elections. In 2013, I did not consider him at all because he was facing the charges and, as I severally said, I could not imagine myself facing the shame of having a president who is charged with crimes against humanity. I have borne that shame for about 20 months. I must, however, add that I am still a registered member of ODM and I will therefore most likely vote for the ODM presidential candidate. Indeed, for as long as I believe in my party, I should vote for its candidates (with a few exceptions, where necessary). The difference is that in 2013 I did not consider Mr. Kenyatta at all and I, in fact, considered his candidature offensive to our constitutional values but during the next elections, I will consider him provided that his running mate will not be carrying the tag of indictee.
