Mr. Roland G. Taylor, Sr., 74 of Vienna, formerly of Clendenin, went home to be with the Lord August 31, 2013 at home. He is retired from Pennzoil and attended West Virginia State University. Roland is an Air Force Veteran and a member of Vienna Masonic Lodge. He is preceded in death by his wife of 40 years, Mrs. Sonja Taylor; parents Ralph and Blanche Taylor; brother Carl Taylor and sister Juanita Caruthers. Mr. Taylor is survived by his children Stacy Skeen, Roland Taylor, Jr. and Rindi Huffman all of Poca and his other son Monty Skeen of Ripley; sister Barbara Varney of Kimper, KY; brothers Ray Taylor of South Charleston, Bill Taylor of Georgetown, KY , Doug Taylor of Ripley and other brother Jack Vance of Walton and four grandchildren Buck Skeen and wife Rachel of Poca, Shery Skeen of Cross Lanes, Taylor Huffman of Poca and Morgan Huffman of Poca. He is also survived by his companion Ms. Billy Shaffer and her four children Leo, Missy and Leighann. A celebration of the life of Mr. Roland Taylor will be 1:00 PM Saturday September 7, 2013 at Haven of Rest Memory Gardens Mausoleum Chapel with Pastor Mark Jarrell officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the mausoleum chapel. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to the American Cancer Society 301 R H L Blvd, Charleston, WV 25309 or the Shriners Hospitals for Children-Lexington, 1900 Richmond Road Lexington, KY 40502.
