Mr. Stuck in my Rut better wake up on the right side of the bed tomorrow. After seeing some stuff on Dotties page, its really time to make a true stand for myself. Its one thing to be too nice. I can take being nice and having a thank you in return. I cannot take giving my all and having it taken, chewed up, spit out and then placed in the public eye for all to see. Its cruel. As for my part of it, I know this person isnt cruel, has a great heart, but has just been hurt far too much to do anything they dont have ingrained in them. I cant change that. I also cant help them with that. They have to do it on their own. Guess what? Nice people get tired too. The next time you want to ask them to do something, try something new, dont ask them to do it, dont even ask them to be there or be a comfort (they arent second best - they are THE best - you just know they will always be there), but do whatever it is on your own. Love yourself! These people arent insecure because they dont love themselves. They love themselves, but they love humanity more. Can you honestly say you know what kind of person that is? What makes them up? What keeps them ticking? Where that heart of gold comes from? No, you may not be taking advantage of them, but good grief, you arent helping them. For the unconditional love and compassion they have shown you, talk to them, hold them if they need it, tell them their goodbyes, hug them and walk away from them. Forever. It will hurt them for now, but I promise the hurt now will hurt a lot less in the future. They love you. You may not understand it, but these people will keep on fighting for whatever it is you need with little regards to their own personal, physical or emotional needs. That says a lot about these people. These are good people. Treat them the right way, or we will have a world filled with a lot of hate. These people truly love - allow them to love with or without you in your life. Thats the right and honest thing to do. That will put you on the right path. You know, that path you so yearn to be on. Just do it! Faith, hope and love, but the greatest of these is what? Love. Show it to everyone, including the ones you walk all over the most. To be honest with you, they need love more than you do. They seldom get it in return.
