Mr Teo Yu Sheng (Business + USP) has made some allegations and aspersions with regard to the Unions transparency of its finances. Putting aside our disappointment about Mr Teos extremely regrettable actions to prematurely release our correspondence onto the public domain without even notifying us (which he had implied to the contrary), we have come out with a full-fledged response as to why his allegations and aspersions of the lack of transparency are ill-founded. We welcome scrutiny and interest by our members in our operations. However, we would draw a line when it comes to making allegations and aspersions, especially those that, through less-than-good-faith acts, only serve to entrench misinformation and do not further democratic debate.
