Mr. Thompson “Tommy” Gregory Little, Jr., age 81, of Moncure, N.C., died Thursday, June 13, 2013, at Central Carolina Hospital. He was born in Lee County on January 10, 1932, to the late Thompson & Evelyn Little. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by a brother Harold Little and a very special aunt, Estelle Powers. Mr. Little served our country in the United States Navy; was the first motorcycle policeman on the Sanford Police Department; was a member and Past Master of Sanford Masonic Lodge #151; and was the former owner and operator of Little’s Super Shell before his career in trucking. He was a jack-of-all-trades and could do almost anything. He is survived by his wife, Peggy Gray Little of the home; three sons, Greg Little and wife Beth of Mocksville, N.C. and their children Bethany and fiancé Grant Miller, Jacob, Caleb, Seth, Micah and Moriah; son, Gray Little and Tonda of Charlotte, N.C. and their child Makayla; son, Grant Little and wife Pam and their children Bret and Tucker; brother, Jimmy Little of Concord, N.C.; cousins including Connie Gladden, Emma Smith and Al Boone; and uncle, Vesper Brown and wife Phyllis of Broadway, N.C. The family will receive friends Saturday, June 15, 2013, at Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home from 6-8 PM and the funeral will be Sunday, June 16, 2013, at 3:00 P.M. at Moncure United Methodist Church with Rev. Houston Blair officiating. Burial will follow at Moncure United Methodist Church Cemetery with Masonic rites.
