Mr. Thomson and other regular folks are getting access to space thanks to a California start-up tech company called NanoSatisfi Inc. It is scheduled to launch a tiny satellite into space on Sunday, which will, for $250, give people around the world control of its sensors and cameras. The satellite’s mini payload will include Mr. Thomson’s music as an MP3 file. It will also be programmed to have an LED light flashing the words “listen in praise of one cosmos” in Morse code. The 10-centimeter by 10-centimeter cube satellite will orbit the earth for at least two weeks and eventually slide back into the atmosphere and burn.
