Mr. Watson your transparency touched my heart this morning. Yesterday I was thinking a lot about my moms condition. Most of the time, when someone passes, it comes quickly, but what makes cancer difficult is that you mourn every day because the death march is prolonged. When we walk through the valley of the shadow of death, we are reminded of the beauty in the 23rd Psalms arent we. We are not to fear, but its still all too easy to become afraid for those you love. My mothers faith is so incredible. Rose says, I have faced this before Kevin and we have been here. Friends and family come around to pray, intercede, call and just to love. You truly find out who you are friends are too. Hundreds have written, sent notes and are talking to their families about praying for my mother. Truly, I am overwhelmed with gratitude at the outpouring of love. Wishing I could hug each one of you. Family is everything and when they have faith, as my family does, it is the only thing that truly brings comfort. Its an appointment to be born, to live, to laugh, to dance, to die and beyond. I cant imagine going through live without Christ. As far as I am from him at times, His unbelievable promises still blow me away. Wayne Watson is a man I have always loved his music and today, I am singing one of his songs, HOME FREE that he wrote about a friend of their family that passed away all too soon. I am praying for healing as he mourns the loss of his mother and asking God to continue to comfort all of us who have gone through the darkness. In a couple weeks I am sharing a film THROUGH THE VALLEY about this same darkness. Im praying if you are in OKC, come see it and you will be blessed.
