Mrs. Annie Ruth Freeman, 84, of 846 Sugar Valley Road, Cartersville, GA passed away on Sunday, September 22, 2013. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 26, 2013 at 2:00PM at Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church. Rev. Michael Teasley, officiating. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 25, 2013 from 7:00-8:00PM at the Mack Eppinger and Sons Funeral Home. On May 30, 1929, the youngest of seven children, Annie Ruth Brown was born to the late Ida Jane and Warren Brown, Sr. On September 22, 2013, early Sunday morning in her home surrounded by her children and family, she made a peaceful transition into the arms of a lovng Saviour, ready to receive such a kind and gentle soul. Ruth joined Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church at an early age where she remained a member until her death. She attended Summer Hill School and worked at Automatic Retailers Association (ARA) for Lockheed. She was united in marriage to the late Hazel Freeman, Jr. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hazel Freeman, Jr.; a daughter, Sarah Jane Rogers; three brothers and two sisters. Ruth took great pride in her role as a housewife and mother. Her children and grandchildren are a reflection of that. Loving memories will always be cherished by her devoted children: Mary Moore (James), Barbara McAfee (Solomom); Sylvia Beasley (Pastor Sammy ), Warren Bedford Freeman (Mallody); grandchildren: Loretta Banks (Kenneth), Yolanda Freeman (Rico), Wendy and Jamie Moore, Cindy Stewart (Raymond), Jarvis McAfee, Jessica and Jerrica Oliver, Paris Freeman, and Cameo Towns : Great grands: Deontay, Lekiya, Darrell Jr., LaShundra, Kenderick, Cornelius, Raymond Jr., Raina, Izia, Kani, Xavier, Xylen and Janiya: great-great-grands: Monterio, Javaros, Jabre, Jasmine, Antwone, Raniyah and Tijay: son-in-law, Roy Rogers of Atlanta,GA, one brother, John T. Brown: two brothers-in-law, Melvin Johnson (Mary Alice), Donald Freeman of Detroit,MI: four sisters-in-law, Victoria Butler (Brake Lucas), Marie Boone, Sarah Freeman all of Detroit,MI, Jackie Brown of Winnetka,CA., and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
