Mrs ButterButt, The Girl Who Lived, Buddy, was at Deaths Suburbs - TopicsExpress

Mrs ButterButt, The Girl Who Lived, Buddy, was at Deaths Suburbs with me Tuesday, the wee hours of Wednesday, and after daylight on Wednesday til we got in to our vet appointment. She could not eat or drink. She vomited when I gave her even a syringe of water. And more tragic bad stuff. Tuesday night we spent together in a bed with a bit of runny crap that was coming out of her once in a while. We didnt sleep or move around much. I didnt pick her up or hold her except her head. By that morning I was digging a grave for her in the backyard as part of a process to make her death (via vet euth) happen, and also because my bronchitis has made me so weak and breathless I cant work normally so I figured this would take 6-7 hours. Its as shitty a job as it sounds. Lorraine offered to meet us at the vet office for moral and financial support, and after a knee jerk no, I knew this was a great offer and her input in decisions might very well be needed. And it was! Much information was flying around! Long story short, Doc said shes not dying yet. Shes holding her weight. She was in bad shape, no doubt, and he xrayed her, and saw what Nicole guessed based on my description of her abdominal spasms; she has megacolon. He has previously said no, she didnt based on what he felt when he examined her. Another point for anecdotal evidence!
