Mrs. Ford and I shared a great day with the residents at the Ellen Leach Memorial Home in Brewer yesterday. There was a Great crowd of smiling and cheerful faces sitting in the audience, along with the usual surprises of acquaintances we all know from days gone by. It was rewarding to have Craig Colson from WVII and FOX news, show up to do a news clip on my presentation. Craig and I go back several years as we shared some great memories between us. Like his father, Don Colson, Craig is a real pro at what he does. It also was most refreshing to chat with a 95 year old resident who last year spent every day of the winter months skiing at Sugarloaf. A sure incentive that keeping in shape and staying active is a cure for longevity. God Bless him, he is fit as a fiddle and sharp as a tax. Thanks to all who came out to listen to us - Mark Nickerson and I will be returning to this home in January once we set a date. Only this time, Trooper Nick and I will share the stage together, with mark promoting his book, Blue Lights in the Night.
