Mrs. Ida Bell Hayles Phillips passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 23, 2014 in Hammond, LA . Originally from Eliska, AL she was a long-time resident of Mobile and more recently lived in Hammond. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Ida Bell Hayles, and her husband, Luther Carl Phillips. She is survived by her daughter, Gerrie Robinette McMillan (husband Steve) of Uriah, AL; her son, Carl Robin Phillips (wife Toni) of Loranger, LA; grandchildren Jason McMillan (wife Kelli), Scott McMillian and Beth Phillips; great-grandchild William David McMillian. Funeral services will be Saturday, September 27, 2014 at 4:00 PM from the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Eliska with the Rev. Wayne McMillian officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery with Johnson Funeral Home directing.
