Mrs. Vivian Billie Dupree, 98, passed away Tuesday morning, May 20, at her home in Americus. Funeral services are planned for 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 24, at First Baptist Church, with Rev. Hugh DeLoach & Rev. Keith Parks officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Friday evening, May 23, between the hours of 6:00 & 8:00 PM at Hancock Funeral Home, 427 S. Lee St. Born July 11, 1915 in Marion County, AL, she was a daughter of the late John W. Kuykendall & Dona Lenahan Kuykendall. She graduated from high school in 1933, where she was active in basketball & track. She was retired as a seamstress at Manhattan Shirt Factory, and was a member of First Baptist Church. She was the matriarch of many. Survivors include her sister, Kitty Clark of Panama City, FL; her 3 daughters, Donna Maggio (Joe) of Punta Gorda, FL, Mitzi Dupree of Roswell, GA, & Kathy McCarty of Americus; her son, John Dupree of Americus; grandchildren: Ben Dupree, III (Marcia) of Americus, Ginger Schrimsher (Mike) of St. Simons; Jonathan Maggio (Dawn) of Coconut Creek, FL, Jeffrey Maggio (Nicole) of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Mitzi Rigdon (Todd) of Punta Gorda, FL, Scooter Fairbrother (Tonya) of Tybee Island, Cami Gharakhani (Vanik) of Savannah, and Brooks McCarty (Kym) of Savannah; step-grandchildren: Brent McCarty, III (Kay) of Ellaville, Janet Disney (Mike) of Ft. Valley, Eddie McCarty (Carla) of Valdosta, & David McCarty (Shala) of LaGrange; great-grandchildren: Bentley Dupree, Whitney Bowen, Benjamin Maggio, Audrey Maggio, Victoria Maggio, Rocky Rigdon, Rider Rigdon, Chaz Fairbrother, Armik Gharakhani, Kendall McCarty, Kathryn McCarty, Daniel McCarty, Cole McCarty, Grant McCarty, Travis McCarty, Chris Faircloth, Dee Beamon, Bri Trujillo, & Davey McCarty; 7 great-great grandchildren; & many nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ben Dupree, Sr., and by her son, Benja Dupree. For those wishing to do so, the family suggests memorial contributions to First Baptist Church, 221 S.
