Ms. Laura Mae Dixon, of 217 Cook Street, Sandersville, Georgia departed this life Thursday, January 8th, 2015 at the University Hospital, Augusta, Georgia. Ms. Dixon was a native of Washington County. She was born the daughter of the now late George Dixon, Sr., and Mattie Laura Kemp Dixon August 4th, 1943 in Washington County. She was a devoted and faithful member of the Kingdom Life Fellowship International Ministries, Harrison, Georgia. She was formally employed with the Oconee Fall Line Technical College as a Custodian and was a very devoted homemaker. She is preceded in death by her parents, and one son; Robert Dixon. Survivors include her loving and devoted children; Bernice (husband-Thomas) Brown, of Davisboro, Georgia, Annie Laura (husband-Ricky) Fort, of Sandersville, Georgia, and Rita Dixon, of Atlanta, Georgia, her siblings; Otis (wife-Pearl) Dixon, of Davisboro, Georgia, Marion (wife-Joyce) Dixon, of Sandersville, Georgia, William (wife-Rose) Dixon, of Harrison, Georgia, and Floridaine Powell, of Tennille, Georgia, her grandchildren; Marika Dixon, Obataye Edwards, Ricky Fort, and Reonna Fort, her great-grandchildren; Anaiye, DaJuan, Karmari, Alyvia, and Kal-el, and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends. Funeral Services will be conducted Tuesday, January 13th, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. at the Kingdom Life Fellowship International Ministries 2045 New Tennille Road, Harrison, Georgia. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. Visitations will be conducted Monday, January 12th, 2014 from 12 Noon until 8:00 P.M. at Davis Funeral Home, 725 Beech Street, Louisville, Georgia 30434.
