Ms. Sheela Thomas appointed as ANRPCs Secretary-General Sheela Thomas IAS, Chairman of the Indian Rubber Board, has been appointed as the Secretary General of the Association of Natural Rubber Producing Countries (ANRPC) for a three-year term. Ms. Sheela will be assuming the office, at the Secretariat of the ANRPC, in Kuala Lumpur, in the first week of September 2014. This is the second time that Indias nominee is occupying this position in the long history of this inter-governmental body,established in 1970 and currently having 11 member nations. Ms.J.Lalithambika had occupied the position from 1995 to 1998.
