Msg from John Robinson with the National Weather Svc.: There will - TopicsExpress

Msg from John Robinson with the National Weather Svc.: There will be chances for severe thunderstorms in Arkansas this afternoon and evening. Best chances will be over the northeastern quarter of the state, but isolated severe storms could occur in just about any section of Arkansas. I suspect that some severe thunderstorm warnings will become necessary. Damaging winds should have a greater chance of occurrence than large hail. On Thursday, we could see a few severe thunderstorms during the afternoon and evening, mainly over the southern half of Arkansas. Thunderstorms are expected to be scattered, so while some spots will receive heavy downpours, quite a few places will see little if any rain. I will issue the next message around 9:30 AM Thursday.
