Much thanks to all those brave men and women who have given up a part of their lives to military service. It is fitting that we honor those who are ready to put their lives on the line for the benefit of the nation. No matter what your views on foreign policy or the justification for wars past or present, it should not dampen your heartfelt appreciation of the men and women who give you some sense of security against hostile aggression. I can guarantee that a piddling few veterans had any say in decisions culminating in war; nonetheless, they gave their all carry out their missions and do that which was deemed necessary. Theirs was not to question why, theirs was but to do our die.... A moment of silence for those who gave their lives in service to their country and thankful appreciation for others who served, and continue to serve. Happy Veterans Day from a grateful citizen.
