Muhammad Reza: Duranta Chakma did not keep any illegal arms, as you are accusing him of, like Bangladesh military. No question of keeping arms with him. He was a political leader. Bangladesh military falsely accused him of keeping it to cover up their crime against humanity (torture to death) or to justify their criminal act. You are being either misguided by propaganda manufactued by Bangladesh military to cover up their crime against humanity or you are biased for the criminals (the concerned Bangladesh troops) for your racial and religious bigotry against the CHT indigenous people. For the sake of argument, even if he was keeping arms, why didnt the army produce him to court after arresting him? Instead, they tortured him to death! They arrested him, along with other three indigenous political activists, without warrant and brought them to their camp where he was tortured to death. The condition of the other three is also critical. Does law allow them to do so? Bangladesh army have committed another crime against humanity. They have track records of perpetrating 13 major genocides and crimes against humanity in CHT and also hundreds of cases of abduction and rape and gang rape of indigenous women, extrajudicial killings and gross human rights abuses in the region. Please dont show me concocted newspaper clippings. Why didnt army give his dead body to his relatives for cremation as per their their religious rites? Instead, they burned down his body! Destruction of the evidence of their atrocities. The concerned Bangladeshi troops must be brought to justice.
