Mujh Se Gurez-paa Hai To Har Raastaa Badal Main Sang-e-Raah Hoon To Sabhee Raston Mein Hoon... (Sharing the Ghazal posted by my friend Irfan with my interpretations...!!!) If you have an aversion to me, if you do not like me so much, if you have decided to walk away from me, if I am so repulsive to you, then you will have to change each and every path that you walk on.... We will come to the second line in a moment, because this is one creation of Faraz that has a full story in each line, not each sher but each line... If I am so bad, for what ever reason, then you pretty much are stuck in the tracks... why? Because no matter what path you travel on, I will be there, and you do not even want to see my face!!!! Gurez-paa hona = to develop an aversion, to avoid, to walk away from! I am so very much intertwined in your love, in everything you do that you will miss me and find me every where and hence you will have to change EVERY path after walking on it for a short while... No matter what excuses or entertainments you develop to keep yourself busy, I will be right there and you will not be able to handle this because each path will only bring you back memories of the times you spent with me!!! Go ahead, try it... I am convinced what we had together cannot be replaced and hence you will miss me every step of the way!!! Now getting to the second line- Main sang-e-raah hoon To sabhee Raston Mein Hoon...... You considered me nothing more than a small pebble, a little stone on the roads you traveled.. those roads were of luxury and using people and just as a small child keeps kicking the stones on the road as he walks, you kicked me after using me and leaving me high and dry... So if I am that stone of the road for you that has now become useless as you venture into new relationships, let me warn you!!! Yes, I may be a worthless stone of the road that can never retaliate, that cannot express its dead feelings because you have made me so numb with pain and agony. But this is an omni-present stone of your paths!!! No matter which path you walk on, you will find this stone that will haunt you for all the things, feelings, love that you will miss because what I gave you was pure unconditional love and you treated me like I was some replaceable object of your large collection.... Think again... I will appear everywhere you look because you will never find what you had in me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This one sher evokes a million feelings...
