Mujtaba Farooq Mr. Mujtaba Farooq, the national president of Welfare Party was born on 6thJune, 1959 at Aurangabad in Maharashtra. He got his education, Diploma in Mechanical Engineering at his native place. He was associated with trade union movement and was in the leadership of AITUC, the labour wing of CPI, during 1980-86. Later, he came in the fold of Jama’at-e-Islami Hind and had been carrying responsibilities at various capacities as its chief of Maharashtra, secretary of Delhi zone. He is associated with a number of educational and socialorganizations based at Auranagabad and elsewhere. He serves as president ofAl-Hira Educational and Welfare Society,Vidya Abhiyan Shiksha Sanstha, Taj Educational and Welfare SocietyandAmiable Charitable Trust (ACT). He is founder president of the Maharashtra basedFalah-e-Aam Trust. He is member of many regional and national educational, social and community organizations. With taste in journalism, he startedAsia Express, an Urdu daily from Aurangabad and serves as its Managing Director. Mujtaba Farooq is connected with many business ventures also. He heads a family consisting wife, two daughters and four sons. He has been to UAE, Saudi Arabia , Pakistan, Bangladesh andNepal.
