Mum question:I am a 2nd time mum to a high needs little girl after having a high needs boy first! My girl is 6.5 months old and recently started solids. She only has 3-4 teaspoons a day maximum of food as she is not really interested at all. She also sips a little water. Lately, since the food probably, she is extremely fussy at the breast. She screams and arches her back and throws herself around. When I sit her up, she often burps loudly. I used to feed her off to sleep peacefully and now it is super stressful. We co-sleep for at least half the night and even there she is not relaxed and screams. I have previously taken her to an osteopath and am unsure what to do to help her. She seems in so much pain even though she has only had pear, apple, banana, carrot and small amounts at that! Her bowel movements have also increased. Any advice to stop the writhing around when I breastfeeding her? My diet had not changed. I have been taking one anti histamine a day due to severe hay fever, but was assured they were safe ones for bf. any advice? Thank you Pinky says: How frustrating for you. Id query allergies seeing you have a history, Joy Anderson is a lactation consultant in WA who does Skype calls. Id also query the antihistamine - they can reduce milk supply. Also regarding food, check the website fedup.au
