Mum question: I am still breastfeeding my 15 month old. She has epilepsy. Her first seizure was a week after her first birthday. Her 2nd one was a week after a started on Zoloft for PTSD. I have had to stop due to it passing through the breast-milk and causing her to have increased side effects of her epilepsy medication and possibly triggering her last seizure. It has been a week since I stopped zoloft and the flashbacks are reoccurring again. I might have to stop driving because of them. My girl still feeds frequently and some days she will eat very little so breastfeeding works well for her. I dont really know where to go from here. After the last seizure the only thing that calmed her was to feed. Does anyone else suffer from flashbacks? I have gone through a lot of different traumas in my life. I think my last birth via C/S tipped the scales over. I dont want to stop breastfeeding. She sleeps side-car to my bed I dont think making her stop nursing will be do-able. Thank you.
