Mum question:Iam going in April on a cruise for 10 days my daughter will be 11 month by then , I want to leave her with her auntie as I need to spend some time with my husband coz our relashion ship has been so bad lately , mielah breasfeed to sleep , Iam starting to put her on a bottle with my expressed milk my question is would she wean her self after the 10 days coz I would love to continue breasfeeding thank u so much . Pinky says: We really dont know what a baby will do , some may wean, others will happily keep breastfeeding. You may be able to coax her back to the breast by feeding her in her sleep if she refuses to feed. Could you take your aunty on the cruise to baby sit and you breastfeed your baby some feeds /express for some and let your aunty take care of her in another cabin? Would that be an option ? The separation will be hard for your baby because she wont understand why you have disappeared and you are her everything. Re your relationship, can you get some counselling now and perhaps have your aunty babysit sometimes so you have some short times together.
