Mummy question I apologize in advance for the length. Quick info: Im 35 weeks & 2 days with my baby girl. Im 21 and this is my first pregnancy. My due date is December 16th, 2014. So Sunday October 26th I was in the hospital with irregular contractions and was told I was dilated to 1 cm. Then a week later on Monday November 3rd at 2:30 in the morning I went back to the hospital because I was having contractions 3-5 minutes apart and they were strong. After about 12 hours of being there my contractions were 1 minute apart and extremely painful. They stated that I was going into preterm labor and I was dilated to 2 cm. By Wednesday I was dilated to 3 and they said my cervix was slightly soft. The doctor/nurses took all the necessary steps to stop the labor, and they successfully did so by November 8th which was that Saturday. I was sent home that Saturday on medication to help prevent me from going into labor again and they told me to come back if they get bad again. My contractions went back to being irregular and tolerable. But about 4-5 hours ago I started having contractions 4-5 minutes apart lasting about 45 sec. to 1 min each. They are slightly strong and causing discomfort and back pain. Because of them its also harder to breathe. My question is: Should I be worried? Is there a possibility that the medication might not be working and should I go back up there? Or should I wait until they are 3 minutes apart? I just really dont wanna go up there and not be dilating and have them send me home and waste hours at the hospital. I am a first time mom and am kinda clueless on what actual labor feels like.
