Munnariyippu - Venu sir makes the movie a very intriguing experience which gives us a lot of interesting philosophical insights about life through Raghavans character and oppurtunism, selfishness and the sheer ruthlessness of the outside world through Anjalis character. After a long time, one can see Mammootty, the great actor in a movie and not the superstar. He underplays his mysterious character beautifully and keeps us totally intrigued about what he is all about throughout the movie. For the first time, was impressed with Aparna Gopinath in a movie. She gave a very competent performance and stood her own against a stalwart like Mammookka. Renji Panicker sir is turning out to be a bankable actor. Nedumudi Venu, Saiju Govinda Kurup and the rest of the supporting cast are also in good form. And theres Prithviraj in a charming cameo. Brilliant, sharp and insightful dialogues by Unni R are the highlight of the movie. And the climax comes as a complete shocker which will haunt you for a long time after you leave the movie. Its not an art film, but its not your run of the mill commercial film as well. But its definitely a worthwhile experience which will haunt you for a while. Definitely the best among Mammookkas movies in the past 4 years. And Venu Sir maintains his legendary status, be it in cinematography or in direction. :)
