Murray Bridge police have arrested a man following a robbery at a Lameroo deli last night. Just after 10.30pm, two men wearing balaclavas and armed with a tyre lever allegedly threatened a woman at a deli on Railway Terrace at Lameroo, stealing the shops till containing cash. The two men fled the scene in a dark coloured Commodore. About an hour later the same car containing at least two men, was involved a petrol theft at Tailem Bend. Just before 1am, a Murray Bridge Police patrol spotted the suspect car in Humphrey Street, pursing the vehicle for a short distance before the pursuit was stopped for safety reasons. A short time later, a man matching the description of one of the robbery suspects was located in Murray Bridge and arrested. The 25-year-old man from Lameroo has been charged with aggravated robbery, with police enquiries continuing in regards to the incident and the second suspect.
