Murray Bridge police have arrested a man following a robbery at a Lameroo deli last night. Just after 10.30pm, two men wearing balaclavas and armed with a tyre lever allegedly threatened a woman at a deli on Railway Terrace at Lameroo, stealing the shops till containing cash. The two men fled the scene in a dark coloured Commodore. About an hour later the same car containing at least two men, was involved a petrol theft at Tailem Bend. Just before 1am, a Murray Bridge Police patrol spotted the suspect car in Humphrey Street, pursing the vehicle for a short distance before the pursuit was stopped for safety reasons. A short time later, a man matching the description of one of the robbery suspects was located in Murray Bridge and arrested. The 25-year-old man from Lameroo has been charged with aggravated robbery, with police enquiries continuing in regards to the incident and the second suspect. Anyone with information on the robbery is asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
