Mushroom cultivation Course (Announcement from Fungi for the People): Good morning, I am reaching out to your group and other mycological societies in the US and Canada to find people who are interested in mushroom cultivation or environmental restoration and would be in a position to make a positive impact on their community with the experience of attending a 5-Day hands-on seminar. We are Fungi For The People, a non-profit research and education organization offering courses and workshops for home to small-business scale mushroom cultivation and environmental restoration. Founded in 2011, our hands-on educational offerings have reached over 2,500 people from all over the world looking to gain skills and knowledge for working with fungi to grow food and promote ecological restoration. Our mission is to meet people where they are, both economically and intellectually. We offer a broad range of courses and workshops throughout the year from our base in Eugene, Oregon and on visits to communities across the country, with the cost of attendance below the local minimum wage per course hour. Our courses are open to members of the public and we host attendees from many walks of life. Recently we have secured an educational grant for offering 2 full scholarships in our long format 5-Day Mushroom Cultivation Design Course and 5-Day MycoRemediation Design Course. We would be thankful if you could spread word of the opportunity to your group, if any member or acquaintances are interested in applying for the scholarship or attending our courses they can reach our staff at info.fungiforthepeople@gmail or visit FungiForThePeople.org for more information. Thank you for your time, and happy mushrooming! Ja Schindler Founder and lead researcher at FungiForThePeople.org fungiforthepeople@gmail (586)321-9727
