Music Box Irresistible feelings shove, pull and roil within the attractive little box. It bangs about on the shelf, lock swinging. The box is not marked, but faint music escapes. You know in your soul that every human emotion might be released if you only had the key to that box. But you don’t. Because you are an indie filmmaker. Great music, a custom score, would finally ignite the emotion in the filmic tale you’re trying to tell. But the key to the box is too blasted expensive to find and to use. The box stays locked, jostling there. Crescendos unheard. Feelings unfelt. An original score is the unreachable dream of the small filmmaker. Because it’s a rarified art, an original symphonic film score may run literally six or seven digits. Could consume your entire indie film budget. Our Lord, however, is clever. He married me to one of a bare handful of women in the entire world who write orchestral scores for film. My Julie. That is surprising for another reason—writing symphonic music is pretty much totally a male profession. You might think women would OWN the emotional keys to the orchestra. But you personally cannot name a single symphony penned by a female. Who knows why? Whatever the reason, our Lord God has empowered my feminine, girly girl Julie to pen orchestral music of staggering complexity and emotional power. Her original score is one of the keys the Lord used to catapult The Star of Bethlehem to success. And now Julie is scoring film two: Christ Quake. Julies new website is now open. Click below. We have some of her music ready for you to sample, together with a free download… Julielarson
