Music History for Friday, 6/28/13 2010 - Motley Crue frontman Vince Neil was arrested in Las Vegas for allegedly driving under the influence. 2001 - Phish and The Grateful Dead were the big winners at the second annual Jammy Awards, held at the Roseland Ballroom in New York City. 1991 - Paul McCartney’s Liverpool Oratorio debuted at Liverpool’s Anglican Church. McCartney co-wrote the 90-minute classical work for orchestra and chorus with American born composer and conductor Carl Davis. The piece was written to celebrate the 150th year of the Liverpool Royal Philharmonic, who performed the oratorio at the premiere, conducted by Carl Davis. 1975 - David Bowie’s “Fame” was released. 1969 - Crosby, Stills & Nash released their first album.
