Music Workshops at Pontardawe Arts Centre – 30th October Taith Gorwelion | Horizons Tour Workshops Workshops for groups and individuals, suitable for anyone aged over 10 years. The workshops are suitable to anyone with an interest in music and we can cater for anyone from absolute beginners to accomplished musicians. VENUE: Pontardawe Arts Centre DATE: Wednesday 30th October TIME 12.30pm to 4pm. CMW’s trained and experienced community music practitioners will provide instruments for drumming and percussion based workshops with the opportunity to bring along your own instrument. Working with the tutors, you will learn rhythms from around the world and drawing on your own ideas and inspired by the music of the Horizons Tour, create a new composition together. In the final hour, artists on the Horizons Tour will join you, where they will play one or two songs, talk a little about their music, culture, instruments and then listen to your new composition. Joining us at Pontardawe Arts Centre are members from the band 9Bach. The cost is £5 for the session but this includes a ticket to the Womex show in the evening, with Les Tambours De Brazza, a spectacular African band and 9 Bach. Show starts at 7.30pm.
