Music is a time machine...you listen to a song from you childhood or youth it brings back surprisingly clear memories. Each of the sweet hot women here are 70+ years-old now, some no doubt passed away.This is from the early 60s,When President Kennedy still lived. Rock had gone from the driving beats of Jerry Lee Lewis, Buddy Holly (tragically dead), and Elvis (who had been inducted into the Army) to a very white bread bubblegum pop sound until the Beatles and the Stones came over and gave music the kick in the arse it needed to become rock again. That said, a lot of the songs of this era were, while not terribly deep and meaningful, fun and gave you a boost. As heard so often on American Bandstand, It had a good beat and you could dance to it. Or as my dad put it, you could here what they were saying.
