Music is an evolution of language, one day humans will mostly communicate in song. Grunts and pointing werent enough to convey ideas satisfyingly, spoken words havent been enough either. Adding sophisticated tones and rhythms to words can convey more meaning and feeling, and considering most languages have evolved increased tonal complexity over time and the increasing ubiquitousness of music in our daily lives, I hypothesize that one day humans will communicate mostly in song.
