Musician friends , I dont want to come off souunding mean, so I will phrase this in the form of a series of questions: Is it ever cool to ask a band to sit in (even if they are your buddies ) or show up with your instrument and hope they innvite you to? If so,how many songs do you do, one, to, the whole set? When an owner has paid this band and their fans have come to see THEM, and they have rehearsed a show, is it fair to put them in this awkard position by expecting them to alter their material to accommodate you so you can have stage time? Even if you think what you are doing is enhancing their show, is it really your call to make? Im not. trying to hurt anyones feelings , I am genuinely curious. Your feedback is valuable. Thanks
